EUKANUBA AND IAMS VOLUNTARY RECALL

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) has voluntarily recalled specific lots of dry pet food because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. These lots were distributed in the United States and represent roughly one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) of annual production. No Salmonella-related illnesses have been reported to date in association with these product lots.
 
This issue is limited to the specific dry pet food lot codes listed below.

NATURA PET EXPANDS RECALL OF CALIFORNIA NATURAL, INNOVA, EVO, KARMA AND HEALTHWISE FORMULAS

FREMONT, NEBRASKA, March 29, 2013 – Natura Pet Products is voluntarily expanding its recall of dry pet food because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. No Salmonella-related illnesses have been confirmed to date.
 
Sampling conducted by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and the Georgia Department of Agriculture confirmed the presence of Salmonella in additional dry cat food and a cat pet treats. In anabundance of caution, Natura is also recalling product made in the surrounding timeframe.

Natura Pet is voluntarily recalling specific California Natural, Innova, EVO, and Healthwise dry dog, cat, and ferret SKUs as a precautionary measure due to potential Salmonella contamination. No Karma, Mother Nature, wet or treat products are included in this recall. No illnesses have been reported from the recalled products and no other P&G Pet Care brands are impacted by this recall.
 
We were alerted to a single case of Salmonella in a 2.2lb package of EVO Turkey & Chicken Cat Food.

Bravo! Recalls 2 lb Tubes of Chicken Blend-Raw Frozen Food Diet for Dogs and Cats

Manchester, CT– Bravo! is voluntarily recalling its 2 lb tubes ofBravo! Raw Food Diet Chicken Blend for Dogs and Cats, product code: 21-102, batch ID code 6 14 12, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
 
The recall involves 2 lb. Bravo! Chicken Blend frozen raw diet tubes (chubs) made on June 14, 2012 only; no other products or sizes are involved. The recalled product should not be sold or fed to pets. This batch tested negative by a third party independent laboratory prior to release for distribution to consumers, however routine testing by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture of product collected from a single retail location tested positive for presence of salmonella.

THE HONEST KITCHEN® VOLUNTARILY RECALLS LIMITED LOTS OF VERVE®, ZEAL® AND THRIVE® PRODUCTS DUE TO POSSIBLE HEALTH RISK

The Honest Kitchen today announced that it is voluntarily recallingfive lots of its Verve, Zeal and Thrive pet food products produced between August and November 2012 and sold nationwide in the US and Canada via retail stores, mail order and online after August 2012 because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. No other Honest Kitchen batches,production dates or products are affected. 
 
Some animals will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. Infected but otherwise healthy animals can be carriers and infect other animals or humans.

Nutri-Vet and Nutripet Chicken Jerky Products Recalled Due to Possible Salmonella Health Risk

Nature's Variety Issues Voluntary Recall of Instinct Raw Organic Chicken Formula for Dogs and Cats

Nature’s Variety has announced a voluntary recall of one batch of Instinct® Raw Organic Chicken Formula with a "Best if Used By" date of 10/04/13. This action is being taken because pieces of clear plastic may be found in some bags and could cause a potential choking risk to pets. The source of plastic has been identified and the issue has been resolved.
 
The affected product is strictly limited to a single batch of Organic Chicken Formula with the “Best if Used By” date of 10/04/13.
